I initially bought a sleeve with a zipper fron B&N which was very functional. I thought I would prefer holding my Kindle to read without a cover but found it akward. I ordered the Kindle Leather Cover after reading many glowing reviews. This is an elegant and perfect item. Reading the Kindle in this cover is much more natural and the extra weight is not noticeable. The leather is rich and the case is well sewn. I love the elastic band that keeps the cover closed. This is a perfect marriage of form and function!

Fit is perfect and the cover folds back easily for one-handed reading. My only dislike is the rubber band that wraps around the cover to hold it closed. There's nothing wrong with it...it just seems they could have done something more solid.

If you want to purchase the blue one, check out the picture of the kindle cover in the photo where it's stuck in the blue handbag. That is the actual color of the "steel blue" cover. I was disappointed as I wanted the brighter color that was advertised. But I'll keep it, because, you know, it's just a cover. Right now I am waiting for my husband to get home because I attached my dang kindle on crooked somehow and now I can't get it off. The lower latch is now not completely inserted in the slot in the kindle and my kindle is slightly crooked. I cannot find any instructions on how to REMOVE the kindle from the cover. I guess its done the same way, but when you put it on wrong, that doesn't seem to work and I don't want to force it and break it. I read other reviews where people are saying the cover doesn't seem to fit the Kindle 3, so maybe that's part of the problem. I would think a cover designed by Amazon for the Kindle would fit correctly however. I will wait until my husband performs his usual repair magic. Overall am pleased by design and leather, only disappointment was the color. I think maybe I should have ordered the green one, although that one may not be bright like the advertised one either.

It is pretty self serving for Amazon to ship my kindle cover and not my kindle. What would you suggest I do with it?
